DCD has reached out to QGDC to clarify the capacity of its data center.. QGDC\u2019s CEO is Danish Iqbal, who is also the CEO of the Gul Ahmed Energy Group, a Pakistani energy company that operates a 136MW power plant in the Korangi Industrial Area of Karachi.. The company website states that the data center will be provided with 136MW of \u201ccaptive power.\u201d. Chinese tech giant Huawei appears to be involved with the project. In May, QGDC signed a memorandum of understanding with Huawei for \u201ccollaboration on the development of what is set to become Pakistan\u2019s largest data center infrastructure,\u201d as well as a separate agreement establishing a \u201cstrategic framework for cooperation on the Karachi Technopolis project.\u201d.
