A steel structure is utilized to maintain the building’s stability during the renovation process. The Regional Computing Center houses multiple powerful computational systems. “Hummel-2” is a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster that is designed to facilitate intricate astrophysical, chemistry, and computer science simulations. This HPC cluster, which is water-cooled, comprises 32 general-purpose GPU cores and 178 compute nodes, as stated by UHH. It also has an overall storage capacity of 5.2 petabytes.<\/p>\n
