Anthropic is combining the front ends for Claude chat and Cowork, adding a single interface that lets users access chat, Cowork and Artifacts in one window.. Claude Design, introduced in April for website and prototype design, will also work across Claude under the new setup.. Anthropic said customers had often struggled to decide which tab to use for different tasks before the rollout.
Under the new design, Claude automatically routes requests without users switching tabs or windows.. The company is also adding features for presentations and documents. Users can ask Claude to create, edit and present slides, and download presentations as PDF or PowerPoint files..
Anthropic said its Docs feature lets users work with Claude to create sections, ask questions and comment on completed parts. Users can share generated documents or slides through a link and edit them on a phone.. Users can also ask Claude on desktop to start creating a document and then track the task’s progress in the mobile app..
The new features are rolling out first to Claude’s Pro and Max plans on web, desktop and mobile over the coming weeks. Anthropic said it plans to extend them later to free and team tiers.. The update follows an upgrade to Cowork’s memory layer, which helps Claude remember user context across chats..
