Connected Infra Group appoints M&A specialist as tower company targets expansion plans

Connected Infra Group has appointed Isaac Lipton as its vice president of M&A, as the tower infrastructure group plots further expansion in the US.. Lipton will be responsible for originating, evaluating, and executing digital infrastructure investments at the company, which launched earlier this year..

September 24, 2026. The move also sees Lipton reuniting with Bernard Borghei, CEO of Connected Infra Group. The two previously worked together at Symphony Towers Infrastructure, with Lipton spending five years at Symphony until his departure in February..

During his time at Symphony, Lipton served as head of M&A. Prior to that, he also worked across the commercial real estate sector as a broker, investor, and operator, with experience spanning acquisitions, asset management, and transaction execution.. “I am excited to welcome Isaac to our growing team at CIG,” said Borghei, founder, president, and CEO of Connected Infra Group. “His background as both an advisor and principal informs a disciplined and creative approach to evaluating opportunities, structuring transactions, and deploying capital.

Isaac will bring valuable expertise to support CIG’s continued growth.”. Lipton will work closely with Borghei, chief legal officer Dan Marinberg, and VP of operations, Cyndi Smith, on building the firm’s national portfolio of telecom infrastructure assets.. Borghei is currently in the early stages of building out Connected Infra Group after his departure from Palistar Capital-backed Symphony last year..

The company raised an initial $1 billion through Investment firm TPG Peppertree to help it get up and running. TPG, a private equity firm with $245bn in assets under management, acquired Peppertree Capital Management last year, rebranding it to TPG Peppertree.. Borghei previously told DCD that the company will aim to acquire tower assets across the US, from Puerto Rico to Alaska.

These assets will comprise both telecoms and broadcast, he adds.. He declined to give a target when asked how many sites the company was looking to buy.. “I don’t have a limit.

I know where I want to be at a minimum, but I don’t have a limit as well as how big we should be. We’re going to try to win as many deals as we can,” Borghei said.. DCD spoke to Borghei earlier this year in a wide-ranging interview covering his ambitions for Connected Infra Group.
