Meta and Reliance are teaming up to build a 168MW data center in the state of Gujarat, India.. The deal will see Indian conglomerate Reliance build the data center, which will be leased to Meta so that it can run AI workloads. The facility, in the city of Jamnagar, could be scaled up in the future, the companies said, but an opening date has not been revealed.. Facebook parent company Meta will cover the cost of power and water required by the data center. It will run on renewable energy and use desalinated seawater..
