Turkish Airlines jet crashes into radar antenna pole at Antalya Airport

A Turkish Airlines passenger plane collided with a communications tower during its landing approach at Antalya Airport on June 12. – Getty Images. According to Turkish news outlet T24, the aircraft struck a ground radar antenna mast with its right wing while taxiing to its assigned parking position at Antalya Airport.

An aviation safety report stated that the light pole subsequently collapsed and struck the fuselage. All 267 passengers aboard flight TK2430 escaped injury, with emergency services arriving on scene immediately. The aircraft, which had flown from Istanbul to Antalya, was taken out of service for repairs.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
