Sponsored: Leviton Network Solutions expands capacity for global data center customers

In an era of rapidly growing bandwidth and connectivity requirements, customers need partners that can deliver speed, scale, and assurance. Leviton’s latest investments are designed to do exactly that, increasing production capacity, expanding customer choice, strengthening supply chain resilience, and helping projects move from planning to deployment faster.

The recent expansion of Leviton’s Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina manufacturing facility more than doubled its size, increasing from 55,000 sq ft to 149,000 sq ft. As the largest expansion project in Leviton’s history since its founding in 1906, the investment significantly enhances the company’s ability to support growing global demand.

Leviton’s Fuquay-Varina site manufactures a variety of multimode and single-mode fiber cable and cabling solutions used to connect data centers, commercial enterprises, industrial facilities, and harsh environments. Pre-expansion, the Fuquay-Varina facility already produced record volumes of optical fiber.

Today, the expansion has unlocked even greater manufacturing capability through increased optical fiber cabling production, expanded make-to-order (MTO) assembly capacity, and enhanced engineering and product testing capabilities.

For customers, the benefits extend well beyond increased production output. Greater manufacturing capacity means improved availability, shorter lead times, and increased responsiveness as project requirements evolve.

Combined with Leviton’s broader global manufacturing footprint, the expansion also strengthens supply chain redundancy, helping customers reduce risk and maintain project momentum, even in demanding market conditions. The Fuquay-Varina facility plays a key role in Leviton’s mission to shorten time-to-value for customers worldwide while continuing to invest in the local community.

Meanwhile, recent investments in Leviton’s Glenrothes, UK facility have added over 100 configuration options for Leviton’s high fiber count cable assemblies. Manufactured in Leviton’s UK based, carbon neutral Data Center Factory, the expanded portfolio increases capacity, shortens lead times, and provides greater manufacturing redundancy across regions. This is actively helping hyperscale, cloud, and enterprise data center operators keep pace with rapidly evolving AI and high bandwidth demands.

This portfolio expansion forms part of broader investments in Leviton’s UK facility, where upgrades to cable, cassette, and assembly production have increased output and strengthened reliability of supply. These investments include:

  • Manufacturing 100+ cable types in both the UK and USA
  • Launching new fiber cassette production in the UK
  • Completing a 181 percent expansion of the UK Data Center Factory

With manufacturing in both the UK and USA, including dual rated Riser/LSZH CPR B2ca constructions, Leviton gives customers more options for sourcing, simplifies project planning, and ensures key components are available when needed.

As a direct result of recent investments in Leviton’s Glenrothes facility, customers can benefit from:

  • Loose tube fiber constructions up to 576F
  • Support for Base-8 and Base-16 configurations
  • More dependable supply across regions via enhanced global redundancy
  • Shorter, more reliable lead times across all data center builds
  • High density connectivity optimized for AI clusters, cloud pods, and colocation sites

Leviton Network Solutions is committed to providing the industry’s best return on infrastructure investment, and that shapes its approach to expansion projects. Leviton’s dedication to growth is all about providing its clients with faster deliveries and deployments, deeper scalability, and agile, robust solutions with top-tier performance.
