OpenAI said on Wednesday it is bringing voice-based agentic features to its mobile app, letting users trigger workflows such as drafting documents and summarizing emails.. Plus and Pro subscribers will be able to use the Work tab on their phones to create documents, draft emails and summarize Slack messages.
OpenAI said those users can also build sites, create presentations, use the cloud browser and access areas such as finances in ChatGPT.. Free and Go users will get access to plugins and connected apps.. OpenAI said ChatGPT voice conversations on mobile will include richer text output.
Users will also be able to switch between text and voice and start a conversation on mobile before resuming it on desktop.. The rollout extends to mobile features that OpenAI had already introduced on desktop. In July, the company launched its conversational model GPT-Live and later integrated it with the desktop app so users could complete tasks by voice in the Work tab or build apps in the Codex tab..
