FuriosaAI raises $620m at a post-money valuation of approximately $2.9bn

FuriosaAI has raised $620 million in a Series D funding round, giving the company a post-money valuation of approximately $2.9 billion.. South Korea’s National Growth Fund was the largest investor, putting $280 million into the round. Meanwhile, international investors, including QUDA Capital Partners, Cisco Investments, NeoFort Holding, Jericho Capital, and Worldline Capital, contributed a total of $110 million.. – FuriosaAI.

The South Korean chip startup said the funds will be used to expand production of its RNGD chips, strengthen its software ecosystem, and accelerate development of its third-generation AI inference accelerator.. In May 2026, FuriosaAI announced it had partnered with Broadcom for the development of its third-generation AI accelerator, designed to support high-bandwidth, rack-scale networking across large AI compute clusters..

FuriosaAI added that it expects to produce 20,000 RNGD accelerators in 2026, with plans to more than double production to over 40,000 units in 2027 to support our growing customer demand.. “This Series D financing marks an important milestone for FuriosaAI and reflects the confidence of investors around the world in our technology and ability to execute,” said June Paik, co-founder and CEO of FuriosaAI.

“We are particularly encouraged by the participation of investors with deep expertise and experience in the global AI semiconductor and infrastructure industries.”. He added: “We are entering a new phase of bringing our technology to the global AI infrastructure market at scale.

By accelerating the commercialization of RNGD and advancing the development of Gen 3, we aim to help shape the next generation of AI infrastructure.”. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in South Korea’s capital, Seoul, to date, FuriosaAI has raised approximately $115 million across four funding rounds to support the development of its RNGD chip.

Furiosa’s 180W, PCIe-based RNGD accelerators are currently in mass production, fabricated on TSMC’s 5nm process node.. In March 2024, the startup turned down an $800m acquisition offer from Meta, reportedly because it wants to grow as an independent company instead. In January 2026, it was reported that FuriosaAI was seeking to raise between $300 and $500 million in a funding round ahead of its anticipated IPO..
