FERC Targets Grid Rules for Data Centers and Large Loads

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has granted six grid operators a 60-day deadline to provide reasoning for their large-load tariffs or revise them accordingly. In addition, these operators have been allotted 30 days to clarify their plans for meeting the increasing demand for power by artificial intelligence systems.
