CoreWeave plans to launch 360MW of data center capacity in Indonesia

CoreWeave is expanding into Indonesia with plans for three data centers in the country.. The data centers will be the company’s first in the Asia Pacific region and are targeting a 2028 launch date.. – Sebastian Moss. In total, the data centers will offer 360MW of IT power, and CoreWeave will own and operate the compute environment across all three locations..

The company will train a local on-the-ground team to operate the facilities.. “CoreWeave goes where we can bring AI pioneers the capacity, performance, and reliability they need to build and scale their ideas,” said Sachin Jain, chief operating officer, CoreWeave.. “Indonesia is investing heavily in AI education and digital capacity, and it’s paying off – the country is becoming one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing destinations for global tech investment. Now, this expansion gives enterprises, AI-native companies and governments more compute locally and globally, wherever they need it, to turn that into a competitive advantage.”.

Details about the exact data center projects, including locations, size, and capacity per location, have not been provided.. As of March 31, 2026, CoreWeave operated 49 data centers, comprising 1GW of active power and 3.5GW of contracted power. In May of this year, the company said it was “firmly on track” to exceed its target of 1.7GW by the end of 2026..
