M&A: Sagility Acquires Chirok Health to Anchor AI-Driven CDI and Revenue Integrity Across Enterprise Providers

Information You Need to Be Aware of. Sagility, a company that deals in AI-led technology and healthcare business operations, has announced the strategic acquisition of Chirok Health. Chirok Health is known for its specialized services in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), medical coding, coding quality assurance (QA), and revenue integrity.

This acquisition was made through Sagility’s U.S. subsidiary, Sagility (US) Holdings Inc. The transaction is worth roughly $32.35 million. Canaccord Genuity LLC acted as the sole financial advisor for Chirok Health.

This move strengthens Sagility’s services platform for providers, enhancing its current capabilities in areas such as revenue cycle management, patient access, predictive analytics, and tech-driven operations. It also improves clinical documentation integrity and coding audits.

Following Sagility’s acquisition of CareSeed, the company is now better equipped to optimize inpatient and outpatient reimbursement, advance value-based care initiatives, and support HCC risk adjustment. This development expands Sagility’s provider-facing arsenal, focusing on the mid-revenue cycle.

Supported by EQT, a leading private equity firm, Sagility employs around 50,000 experts worldwide, spanning the US, India, the Philippines, Jamaica, and Colombia. The company has a strong presence in the healthcare sector, serving over 80 clients including seven of the top ten commercial health plans in the US.

Despite this, hospital systems continue to grapple with critical clinical coding shortages, rigorous commercial payer review audits, and ongoing margin compression issues. Through the acquisition of Chirok Health, Sagility incorporates a dedicated clinical team to tackle provider-side documentation weaknesses directly.

Kanar Kokoy, the CEO of Chirok Health, expressed excitement about joining Sagility as a new chapter for his company. The two entities have a mutual dedication to outstanding healthcare, client satisfaction, creativity, and quantifiable results.
