Pinterest has launched its consumer-facing AI feature Restyle in beta in the United States and Canada, allowing users to test home decor changes in photos of their own spaces.. The feature is powered by Pinterest Intelligence, which the company said combines Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, Nvidia Dynamo, open-source models and Pinterest-built technology..
With Restyle, users can upload a photo of a room and prompt the AI to add wall art, furniture, accessories and other decor, including items found on Pinterest. Users can also change lighting, paint color and plants in the image.. The tool also lets users click on individual items in a room to swap them out, erase them or make further edits.
It can generate alternate room styles based on prompts such as “bohemian,” “industrial,” “whimsical” and “dopamine.”. Pinterest said earlier this week that its Pinterest Intelligence system would improve the Pinterest Assistant’s ability to handle visual search requests and turn searches into signals for AI discovery and shopping..
Restyle was introduced at Pinterest Presents, the company’s annual event for advertisers, where it also announced new visual search ads, app promotion features and other advertising tools.. The feature is currently available as an early preview and will roll out more broadly next month..
