A state-backed development firm in Malaysia has signed a joint venture agreement with a domestic data center developer for the construction of a 65MW campus in Cyberjaya, south of the capital Kuala Lumpur.. – Selangor Industrial Corporation. The agreement, signed between the Selangor Industrial Corporation (SIC), a subsidiary of the state of Selangor’s development agency PKNS, and DC Union, will form a joint venture called SQDC, which will develop the data center on a 5.2-hectare site for RM2.5 billion ($604m), according to SIC’s LinkedIn post and reports by local media..
Other media have reported that PKNS said it would deploy immersion cooling for the data center.. Details about the project’s development timeline and its exact location were not provided.. Cyberjaya is a planned city located in the state of Selangor, which is on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
