Samsung’s clip-style earbuds are now being referred to as Galaxy Buds On and are expected to include volume adaptation and head gesture controls.. SammyGuru reported that it found references to the earbuds and their features in Samsung’s Buds Manager app, suggesting the product is still in development after months of limited updates..
The report said Samsung had previously appeared set to launch the earbuds under the name Galaxy Buds Able, after references surfaced earlier in 2026 in the Galaxy Wearable app.. SammyGuru said the Galaxy Buds On are expected to support head-tracking controls similar to those introduced on Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 4 Pro at the start of 2026.
Those controls let users accept or reject incoming calls by nodding or shaking their head.. The leak also described a Volume Boost feature intended to improve audio performance on open-style earbuds, where the drivers sit farther from the ear.. An Auto Volume feature could temporarily raise sound levels in noisy surroundings to offset the lack of noise cancellation, according to the report..
The earbuds are also expected to include AI-related controls, with Gemini or Bixby activation available through a voice phrase or a tap gesture. SammyGuru said the earbuds may also support instant voice memo recording through a touch gesture.. A release date remains unclear.
Some leaks have pointed to an October launch alongside new Samsung tablets, while other rumors suggest Samsung could wait until 2027, when over-ear headphones are also rumored to be in development.. Featured image credit. Tags: Galaxy Buds OnSamsung
