German data center firm Maincubes has completed the first module of its FRA03 facility in Frankfurt.. In an announcement on social media this week, the developer said the new site would have a capacity of 16MW, with 7,680 sqm (82,665 sq ft) of whitespace across three floors and six IT rooms..
Maincubes’ FRA03 – Maincubes. The site will be fully powered by renewables and features waste heat recovery.. Plans for FRA03 were announced in January 2022, with construction starting in Q4 2024.
The facility was topped out in June 2025.. Located in Schwalbach am Taunus, Hesse, the site was previously owned by Samsung.. Maincubes said it is pressing ahead with further plans for a fourth site in Frankfurt, FRA04, and has plans for a fifth campus, FRA05..
Those two sites will have a capacity of 40MW and 75MW, respectively. All three sites are aimed at hyperscale and high-performance compute (HPC) workloads.. As well as its Frankfurt data centers, Maincubes also operates sites in Berlin and Amsterdam..
