Mike Sievert steps down from T-Mobile US board

Mike Sievert, the previous CEO of T-Mobile US, has departed from his role as vice chairman at the company. This information was disclosed today (October 28) via an SEC Form filed by T-Mobile US. The document states that Mike Sievert will be resigning from the Board of Directors and Transaction Committee as of November 1, 2026.

He will no longer hold the position of vice chair of the board and the company. It should be noted that Sievert had resigned from his post as T-Mobile US CEO approximately one year prior, allowing Srini Gopalan to take over the role. In T-Mobile’s documentation from that time, it was revealed that Sievert’s role as vice chairman would come to an end on November 1, with the potential for an extension. “Mr.” T-Mobile clarified in a recent filing that Sievert’s resignation was not due to any disputes regarding the Company’s operations, policies, or practices.

In September, when Sievert stepped down as CEO, he expressed his commitment to continue supporting the organization he deeply cares about, stating that it has been a lifetime honor to lead the team. “The greatest achievements are still ahead of us.” No public statement has been made by either Sievert or T-Mobile US regarding today’s resignation, and Sievert’s future plans are unknown.
