Australian neocloud Sharon AI has secured a cloud computing contract from an unnamed AI lab.. Valued at $1.32 billion and set to run for five years, the contract will see Sharon AI deploy cloud computing capacity across data center infrastructure in New Zealand.. – James Manning via LinkedIn.
Revenue from the contract is expected to start in the first and second quarters of 2027.. Details about where the New Zealand deployment will be located have not been provided. Most of the country’s data centers are located around Auckland, with operators including Datacom and CDC Data Centres.. In June 2026, Sharon AI signed a six-year AI infrastructure agreement with Nvidia and a 600PB agreement with Vast Data for its AI Operating System. The agreement with Nvidia will see the two deploying 72MW of AI data center capacity in Australia, using the Nvidia DSX AI factory design and scaling up to 40,000 Grace Blackwell GPUs..
