Qatari data center provider Meeza has secured an 8MW lease with an unnamed global hyperscaler.. The company revealed on September 7 that it had signed a long-term lease valued at more than QAR 1 billion ($270 million) with “one of the world’s fastest-growing cloud services providers.”. – Meeza.
According to Meeza, this is the company’s largest contract of its kind to date.. The capacity will be provided from an upcoming data center campus, which will be designed to accommodate cloud and AI workloads.. Meeza’s CEO, Mohammed Ali Al-Ghaithani, said of the deal: “This landmark agreement, the largest in Meeza’s history, is a powerful testament to the growing demand for our data center infrastructure and the confidence that global technology leaders place in Meeza.
Securing this commitment reflects the strength of the market opportunity and the importance of scalable digital infrastructure.”. The company recently secured a QAR 1.6 billion ($438m) credit agreement with Dukhan Bank to fund a 44MW data center buildout split between three data centers in Qatar: M-VAULT 6, M-VAULT 7, and M-VAULT 8, at least two of which were announced last year.. In July 2026, the firm announced its early completion of a deal worth QAR 350m ($96m) with an unnamed “global hyperscaler” to expand a data center in the Gulf state by 4MW. That followed a similar deal in October with another undisclosed hyperscaler to provide 6MW of additional capacity for QAR 750m ($205m).
It is unclear whether the same hyperscaler signed these contracts.. Qatar is a relatively small data center market, with Meeza operating five out of the 11 facilities listed in the country by DataCenterMap.. More in Cloud & Hyperscale.
