Each building will total 189,060 sq ft (17,564 sqm) and cost $300 million. Construction is set to run from August to December 2026.. AI start-up Poolside is planning to develop a large-scale data center campus outside Fort Stockton, known as Project Horizon.

AWS is developing several other large campuses in Texas. In May 2026, the company acquired 1,300 acres near Cedar Creek in Bastrop County for a potential data center campus.
That land is located off State Highway 21 West, some 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Austin.. The company also has a footprint in San Antonio and previously filed to develop in DeSoto, outside of Dallas.. Earlier this year, the firm filed to potentially develop a large campus next to Vistra’s Comanche nuclear plant outside Fort Worth..
