Brazil’s Eveo plans data center in Recife

Brazilian hosting company Eveo, which specializes in dedicated servers and private clouds, is set to open a new data center in Recife, a city located in the state of Pernambuco. This news was shared by José Henrique Bermejo from EVEO. The reported plans are to open the facility soon and attain Tier III standards.

The specifics about the location and characteristics have not been divulged yet. Eevo has been managing a data center in Fortaleza since 2024 and is planning to transfer to a new establishment in Recife due to a surge in demand in an area that is still devoid of local infrastructure.

The company mentions that the distance in the Northeast – approximately 800km, or a ten-hour drive, between Recife and Fortaleza – makes it unfeasible to cater to the entire region from a single location, especially for applications that are sensitive to latency. The company also has facilities in São Paulo (Cotia and Osasco) and Curitiba, and has capacity at a data center in Miami, Florida.
